Rental rates
The tent starts at €55 a night, and the nightly rate drops the longer you stay. Prices are final, VAT 24% included, and cover the whole period.

Minimum two nights. Refundable deposit of €150, returned after the return check. Cleaning is included — there is no cleaning fee. Fitting is charged separately, see below. Every rental is confirmed after an availability and compatibility check.

Bedding is not included. Bring sleeping bags, blankets and pillows — the ErgoCell mattress stays in the tent.

If you want more than a place to sleep, we can add the same camping setup our own 4×4s travel with:
- Portable fridge
- EcoFlow power station with solar panel
- Gas stove and cooking set — pot, pan, plates, cutlery, cups
- Camping table, two chairs and a camp light

The compatibility check, and why it comes first
The Crow's Nest weighs 54 kg. With bars, your roof carries more than 60 kg while you drive, and not every car is rated for that. Dynamic roof load varies a great deal between models, and static load — what the roof holds parked, with you asleep up there — is a different figure again.
So we don't ask you to book first and find out later. Send us the make, model, year and what bars you have. We reply within two hours, 09:00–21:00, on whether the tent fits safely. If it does, we confirm availability for your dates. If it doesn't, we say so plainly and point you to the alternative.

Fitting runs by appointment and takes roughly an hour, so plan for it on the return leg too, when we take the tent off. Marathon is our only pickup point for tent rentals. See what's around our Marathon base.

Buy the tent and we take the rental off the price
Renting is the most honest way to find out whether rooftop living suits you before you commit four figures to a tent. If you decide afterwards to get your own Feldon Shelter, we deduct what you paid in rental from the purchase price — up to €300, within 60 days of your return.
Which means a week in the tent isn't a trial expense. It's a down payment, if you end up buying.

What is a rooftop tent?
A tent that mounts to your car's roof bars and opens into a full sleeping space with a built-in mattress. You sleep above the ground without hunting for a level patch, and packing down leaves nothing wet or gritty in the boot.
How many people does it sleep?
The Crow's Nest we rent sleeps two, on a mattress 141 cm wide.
How fast does it set up?
Pulling the ladder down opens the Crow's Nest in about 90 seconds. Packing takes a little longer, since you tuck the fabric into the cover.
When can I rent one?
All year round. Greece gives you warm nights with the windows open in summer, and mild weather with quiet campsites in spring and autumn — the tent works in all of it. Send your dates and we'll confirm availability.
Where do I pick it up?
At our base in Marathon, north east of Athens, where we fit the tent to your vehicle by appointment.
Do I need my own car?
For a tent rental, yes — a car with roof bars rated for the load. If you don't have one, our 4×4s come with the tent already fitted.
What roof bars do I need?
Bars properly mounted to the chassis or the manufacturer's anchor points, and a dynamic roof load that covers the tent's 54 kg plus the weight of the bars. That figure is exactly what we check for you, free, before you book.
Is it safe?
The tent clamps to the bars with steel mounts and its frame is aluminium. We fit it and check it ourselves, and we show you what to watch for before you leave. We don't hand over a tent to a roof we haven't confirmed can carry it.
Is bedding included?
No. The ErgoCell mattress stays in the tent, but sleeping bags, blankets and pillows are yours to bring.
What does the Full Overland Kit cost?
It depends on how long you need it and which parts you want, so we quote it with our reply. Ask for it in the form and you'll have a number the same day.
How is this different from a camper van?
In a van you sleep inside and its size decides where you can go. A rooftop tent leaves your car as it is — you take village lanes and gravel tracks a van avoids, and you pitch in 90 seconds when you arrive.
