A HikeWave trip, run in partnership with CamperJimny. Three days on the wild side of Evia: forest tracks, hiking, two nights in roof top tents and cooking outdoors.
When and where
- Friday 13 November 2026, 11:00 to Sunday 15 November 2026, 18:30
- 3 days, 2 nights
- Route: Athens → Steni → the Kotylaia mountains, central Evia. Meeting point in Athens or Chalkida, with the option of joining the group at Steni.
The itinerary
Day 1. Off-road through the Steni forest and up into the Kotylaia mountains. Camp is set up in the afternoon and dinner is cooked on site.
Day 2. A morning hike in the forest. In the afternoon, off-road between Xirovouni and Skotini towards the Setta forest, where the second camp is made. Basic off-road driving technique is covered here.
Day 3. Leaving Setta in the morning for a final off-road section, coffee in the village, and back to Athens.

How to join
- Suzuki Jimny + roof top tent — price for 2 people: €600. The vehicle comes from CamperJimny with a roof top tent and camping equipment.
- Ford Ranger + roof top tent — price for 4 people: €1,000. The vehicle comes from CamperJimny with a roof top tent and camping equipment.
- With a roof top tent from us — €250 per person. You bring your own vehicle and we supply the roof top tent and the camping equipment.
- With your own vehicle and equipment — €200 per person. You come fully self-sufficient.
Everything above is all-inclusive apart from fuel and tolls.
For both per-person options, your own vehicle must be a 4×4. The route runs on forest and mountain tracks.
Worth knowing before you book
- Places are limited.
- Cancellation. Cancel up to 30 days before departure — that is up to 14 October 2026 — and you are refunded in full. Within 30 days of departure the booking is non-refundable.
- Mid-November in the Evia mountains means cold nights and early darkness. Bring warm layers and a waterproof.
- A category B licence is needed for the CamperJimny vehicles, and our standard rental terms apply to them.
- The off-road sections are guided throughout. No previous off-road experience is required.
